The Guild of Connoisseurs is a secret society comprising anyone who considers herself or himself or itself a connoisseur of my humour. Join the Guild.

When a Connoisseur sees me in person, Guild etiquette decrees that he or she should bow to me. I immediately bow back.

If you are a connoisseur and your name is known to me, I will address you as such, e.g. Connoisseur Cuthbert. You may address me as Paul or, if you wish, President Paul, what with my being the Life President of the Guild and whatnot.
